Resurrection Sunday (Easter) Services

Hi All,
Just as an announcement- we are having a few options available for worship during holy week.
On wednesday April 4th we will have our last soup supper, which starts at 6pm. A devotion will start at 6:45pm. Garfield United Methodist church has a great Tennabrae service on Maundy Thursday, April 5th at 7pm. If you haven't been to this service- you should try it this year. It is a somber service, but worshipful.
We will be hosting a Good Friday service, on April 6th- at 7pm. this will be asimple service of scripture and singing- with a short message.
A little decorating will occur on Saturday April 7th.
On Sunday- April 8th- we will have a sunrise service available for the whole community up at the Palouse cemetary at 6:30am. It will be about a 30minute service. Some singing, prayer, scripture and a brief message.
We will have two worship services at church on Easter- they will be the same service- just at different times. The first one is at 8:30am and the second one is at 10am. they will be about 55 minutes in length. In between the services there will be a light breakfast of rolls and fruit served from about 9:25- 9:55am. You can catch this breakfast whether you are coming or going.

What a celebration we had today. We had three baptisms. Praise God for the baptisms of Ariel, Cathy and Sierra. The three of them were baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I don't have pictures of that yet- but I hope to very soon. If you have one- email it to me at: pastorcorey@palouse.com

We also had a guest preacher- our good friend Carmena.

She preached a Word from the Lord. Her text was Acts 9:1-19. the point: They're your gifts but its not about you.

It was an encouraging message for me- I hope it was for all who were there. It may have been challenging to some of us- especially if God is working on you calling you to do something, like God was calling Ananias in Acts 9.

We also celebrated holy communion today. Praise God! It was a good day.
