um let's see...

Its been a fun and busy time around here lately. July is always busy for us- Tina's family is stocked with July birthdays and this year they added two more. Kobe Michael and Dylan Leroy were born three days apart- to Timm and Amy, Tom and Sami respectively. Babies are doing well and our family is a bit larger.
Our little family went to visit my grandmother- Danny and Zoe's Great-Grandma- up at Priest Lake. It was a fun visit. It was so good to spend time with her and the kids loved being up there and they had tons of fun.
Danny and I came back from the lake with colds, and so Tina had to run the church movie night all by herself last night. She said there were a couple dozen people there- that's pretty good, 2.4% of Palouse's population.
Good stuff is happening and the church. Lots of good dialogue lately. People are asking me tough and interesting questions and it leads to good conversations. We have been having 70 or more in worship so far in July.
In the next ten days I have a couple weddings to perform- I guess the temperatures are supposed to be 100 degrees or above- and both the weddings are outdoors. It should be fun and nice and warm!

July 2nd- A warm Sunday

It was warm Sunday morning. Lots of bulletins turned into personal fanning devices. I nearly melted. All that being said we worshiped Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Our give and take was a Bible Study of Psalm 130. It is a Song of Ascents- its starts bad and ends up with hope. Check it out.
We had a guest pianist- thanks Beth!- All our regulars were unavailable, but Beth did a fine job.
For a holiday weekend we had quite a few folks, 70 or so. I thought everybody would be out on a boat somewhere.
Later on we had hot dogs and hoopla in the park. I emphasized the "hoops" this Sunday. I had a pretty good jump shot going for me. Will played and was the dazzling rebounder.
I hope you all had a safe and sane 4th.
