A Difficult Way

As Christians we walk the narrow way. The life of Christian Discipleship is not easy. Jesus does say his "yoke is light." But I think he was talking about his readily available grace and not describing the path of discipleship. We know this because he also tells us to take up our cross and follow him. The way of the cross is not what would be described as "easy street." It is a way of life that encounters and engages the suffering in the world.
As a Christian (not just because I am a pastor) I am called to be prepared to suffer.
